Kaden Carter Warner!
Kaden Carter Warner is here!!! My water started to break at 2am on Saturday morning. I wasn't for sure that it was broke, because it was a very small amount. So I laid back down and got up 2 hours later and had another small amount. Still questioning it I went into the loving room and was watching tv and got up to go to the kitchen and then there was more. So I figured that it was probably it. I went into the bedroom and Colby asked if I was ok. I told him that I think my water broke and he kind of jumped up and looked at my spot in bed. I think he didn't want to get any on him! But its kind of a shock when you are half asleep. I called the labor and delivery and they said to come over even if I wasn't having any contractions. So I packed my bags and took a shower. Colby was getting a little impatient so I decided to hurry it up! We went over to Payson Hosptial and I had to check in at the emergency room. Well the lady there was asleep in the next room, so I waited. Finally someone noticed me and came talked to me. So she woke up the other lady to help me, good thing it wasn't an emergency! I got checked in and went to labor and delivery. Were they did a swap to make sure it was my water that broke. It was positive so that means I was staying! I was having contractions but no pain at all. They started me on pitocin and that made the contractions come more and harder. But I was progressing slowly. I was only at a 3. They turned it up and I turned to a 4. Dr Anderson(my OB) came in and said I could have an epidural anytime. So when the contractions started to be painful I said lets do it! They had warned me that it could be 45 minutes before he came so I asked for it a little early for fear I would have pain. I was really nervous about the epidural! Well he showed up in 5 minutes! I was fine with that. I will have to say that the iv in my arm hurt more than the epidural! It was a piece of cake! Now I was numb! No pain at all! Well the day dragged on, I slowly progressed to a 5, then 7. Then finally a 9 then 10. It was about 4:30 pm when I became a 10. Dr Anderson wanted me to wait an hour for the baby to come down more. The nurse said she would come back in 45 minutes to start me to push. Well it was an hour and half! Then we started pushing at 6 pm. I pushed for 2 hours and 15 minutes----then he was here!!! He was born at 8:16 PM. He weighed 8 pounds and 3 oz. 21 inches. Funny thing is Colby had guessed he would be born on the 12th about a month ago. We was guessing weight and size that day. And he guessed 8 pounds 4 oz and 21 inches. I guess I should listen to Colby more~ he was right! We decided on Kaden for his name and it took us 2 days to decide the middle name of Carter. Which is my Mom's maiden name and Colby's Mom's maiden name. It was a long day but all in all I thought it went great! And he was so worth it! We love him!
